You know how we sometimes go into auto mode when doing familiar stuff? I've been doing that everytime I walk from my place, past the multi-storey car park and towards my bus stop every day. I will usually cut across the car park, then walk down some stairs before I cut across some blocks of flats.
The irritating/funny thing is that recently there's some renovations going on and the stairs I usually take has been sealed off. Therefore, it means I have to take a slightly different route down the carpark - dowh the slope where cars usually drive up. Here's where 老人痴呆 part comes in.. :P
I've not been counting but for the nth time this month I have been either daydreaming or whatever and walking towards the sealed door..only when I'm so near it then I realise that I walked wrongly again..even though just a minute before I was still reminding myself to walk the other way..can youu believe it? Aiyoh...I hope they quickly finish whatever they are doing so I can use my usual route again (although I think not likely soon ah).. sighs....

MRT seats and men...
Ive been encountering some very irritating situations recently when I take MRT in the morning. Usually I will wait for the empty train from Yishun and choose those 2 seaters at the corner. Of course, the MRT sometimes will be newer models with wider seats while others are the usual narrower ones.
What I find irritating is that sometimes there will be men who rush into the MRT and try to squeeze into the seat next to me (even though they are not that small size either). To add insult to injury, after they sit down, they will realise it's quite a tight fit, then instead of sitting out a bit, they will stand up and walk off to find another seat. I mean, are they blind? In the 1st place, if you already see me sitting there and you think the space left is quite small, don't squeeze in la! :(
Really really irritated by these men! If I go into an mrt and I see empty space, I also won't try to squeeze into it or will sit at the edge to prevent cramping other people ma...some people just no common sense one..sigh..

Burning Factory at Woodlands
On the morning of 6 Jun, I woke up and came out from my room to smell a very strong scent in the air. Finding it perculiar, I just ignored it and prepared to go to work as usual. When I walked to the bus stop, I could still smell the strong scent drifting in the air. I also overheard an auntie at the bus stop commenting to her husband "got strawberry smell"..It was only the next day when I saw the news that I found out that it was because a nearby factory producing essential oils was burnt down on Fri morning and all the water used to extinguish the fire mixed with the essential oils and flowed into the river behind my house - luckily no one was hurt in that fire. No wonder there was this funny smell in the air! In the end, the strong smell took very long to disperse..yucks..
The worst thing was, when I came back one night on 12 Jun, immediately after I came out from the cab, I could smell that yucky smell again! After seeing the news, I found that it was because some workers carrying salvage work at the very same factory, yes, they sparked off another fire again on that day. Aiyoh, really suah and careless to get your factory burnt twice within such a short time right? Anyway, I hope that they will manage to clear off all their stuff and not contaminate the river water anymore - quite a no. of poor fish were killed in the river. :(
Of course, I also pity the poor workers from the nearby factories in that district. If the stench was that bad from my house, how did it smell to those just working next to that factory? Aiyoh..

Aiwah's Birthday Celebration at Blue Jaz Cafe
Met Aiwah from Bugis MRT before she showed me where the place we wanted to go (ie. Blue Jaz Cafe) was. I definitely would not have managed to find my way there without her help haha..
We went to the 2nd floor of the cafe and ordered food to share, I must say the spaghetti and the seafood platter was quite nice. :) The atmosphere was also quite good until it was late and the DJ started to play really loud music. :P
When that happened, we decided to proceed somewhere else and managed to find a seat at the Bugis TCC which opens til 1 am. We had a good chat there until quite late before we were sent home by Bee's brother.
Oh yes, something to mention was that we discovered Bee's brother doesn't know us by our names (except for Aiwah whom Bee has know since primary school days)! In fact, on that day, he smsed Bee and said he saw Aiwah and "Sembawang" crossing the road when he drove Bee there. It was only then that I found out my nickname was "Sembawang" while Peisi is called "Hougang". Haha..Chris, was no better because she's "the one who stays over there"..bc she stays so near to Bee..LOL rite? Peng San.. ;S
Anyway, overall I hope that Aiwah had a good time with us and enjoyed herself! :)
